Solução para camisa danificada / Solution for a damaged shirt

     O Jorge é o pai do Melvin e no ano passado rasgou esta camisa que gostava muito e pediu-me ajuda. Comecei por usar entretela termocolante para segurar o tecido e assim poder reforçá-lo com várias (muitas) passagens da agulha.


     Jorge is the father of Melvin and last year ripped this shirt that he likes very much and asked me for help. I started by using fusible interfacing on the back to make the tissue more resistent and can reinforce it with several (many) needle passes.

     Para tapar a linha cortei tecido escolhido pelo Jorge para fazer um bolso. Como ele gosta de andar de bicicleta pode usar o bolso de trás para levar qualquer coisa que precise.


     To cover the sewing thread I cut this fabric - chosen by Jorge - to make a pocket. He likes to ride his bike, so he can use the back pocket to carry anything he needs.

      À frente incluí este pormenor usando o mesmo tecido para haver uma ligação ao bolsos e não parecer que caiu na camisa de "pára-quedas"!


     Ahead I include this detail using the same fabric to be a "link" to the back pocket.

Costura por aí

     Ao ver as fotos do Porto do blog Canela cheia lembrei-me de quando lá estive há cerca de dois anos. Esta foto foi tirada na altura num edifício em ruínas.

     Seeing photos of Porto at Canela cheia blog remind me when I went there for about two years. This photo was taken at the time, I found it in a very old building.

     Esta foto foi tirada na exposição dos 100 anos da GNR, no Convento da Graça quando lá fui no ano passado com a minha turma.

     This photo was taken last year in the exhibition of the 100 years of GNR (portuguese police), at Convento da Graça. I went there with my students.

     Ontem descobri esta artista portuguesa através de uma "amiga da amiga"! Vejam as fotos lindíssimas e os quilts maravilhosos e cheios de pormenor e perfeição. Mereceu um lugar na minha parede das artes! 

     Yesterday I've discovered this portuguese artist through a "friend of a friend"! Take a look at the wonderful photos and wonderful quilts full of detail and perfection. She deserved a place on my wall of arts!
